Olga Stavrou is a self-taught painter, raised up in the well known Greek island of Corfu (Kerkira). In early childhood, she used to watch close her father's drawings (as he was an amateur painter himself) and tentatively begun her first steps in drawing. Soon she left behind the narrow limits of her stcetch blocks and started to experiment in varrious surfases, such as canvases, stones, woods, glasses, walls and many others.
At the age of 13 years, she won the second prize at a school nationwide painting contest. In recent years, she was primarily painted scenes of every day life, and continues with still lifes and portraits. The last year she started her first steps in pyrography, a technique that soon won her heart.
Her paintings can be found in many private collections in Greece and other countries.
