Manisha Vedpathak is an artist, Indian by nationality, who currently lives in Ghana, West Africa.
After ten years of study ,hard work and juggling the responsibilities of family, she managed to enhance her skills. Being a self taught artist, her images have evolved over the years from realism to abstraction. Now abstracts ,semi abstracts ,figurative and occasionally nonrepresentational work are her fortes.
Manisha continues to draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. She says, "I am inspired by anything and everything in this universe" .Staying in Africa for almost two decades , the bold colors used in her work show the influence of African art. Her engineering background is seen through her use of geometric shapes.
Born in 1969, Manisha completed her Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering in India and is now staying in Accra, Ghana along with her husband and two daughters.
She is a member of FCA, Foundation of contemporary Art of Ghana, she also volunteers art workshops in an NGO run African school and conducts after school art classes for kids.
Manisha plans on continuing her work as an artist , keep exploring, experimenting and taking advantage of whatever comes her way to get her paintings recognized globally.
